Background Of The Movie And Hogwarts:

In the Harry Potter film series, Daniel Radcliffe plays the main character, Harry Potter, while Rupert Grint portrays Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson takes on the role of Hermione Granger. These characters are students at the British school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Describing Hogwarts as a magical coeducational secondary boarding school, it introduces students aged eleven to eighteen to the wizarding world by teaching them about magical mysteries and techniques.

The school is only visible to witches and wizards and so invisible to the Muggle (a non-magical person who lacks magical skills and not have magical blood in them), where they only see ruins all over and several warnings of dangers which keep them away from the Hogwarts.

The magical charm within Hogwarts causes the staircases and some of the rooms to move around by themselves. The pictures on the wall tend to move and speak, many magical props move themselves etc. There are thestrals, the creatures to pull the carts and many other magical creatures can be encountered.

Hogwarts does not allow electronic devices and electricity in the school due to its high power magic. Students cannot apparate or disapparate without Headmaster’s enchantments. The education system is completely based on magical powers.

Albus Dumbledore is the first Headmaster of the Hogwarts, who is an old wizard with super magical powers. And the children with magical ability are chosen by the magical quill at Hogwarts to get admission in the Hogwarts. All the Professors in the school are experts in their magical subjects who teach the magical course books, both theory and practical, to the students.

Hogwarts is British school which is located in Scotland, near Dufftown, on the shore of Black Lake. The portrayal of the school presents it as a massive old castle adorned with towers and battlements, exuding a scary and mysterious atmosphere filled with thrill, spells, and magical power.

Sloping lawns, vegetable patches, several greenhouses, the Quidditch pitch, the Black Lake, the Forbidden Forest, and the Owlery, where the school's owls and students' owls are kept, surround Hogwarts.

Additionally, there is a transportation means called the Hogwarts Express, a train organized for students to reach the school, and they can board the train at King’s Cross station in London.

This station is also hidden from the muggles. Upon arriving near Hogwarts around nightfall, small boats transport students to reach the school.

Upon arriving at the school, the Sorting Hat conducts the sorting ceremony of students in the Great Hall, assigning them to the four houses established within the school i.e. Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff, by determining the preferences of students in line with their personality and abilities.

Houses in the novels described as the communities or families for the Hogwarts’ students where they can live and learn the different skills and manners of magic.

The head of the house is responsible to lead and guide the house members in every aspect. The students of one house can’t get access to the other houses without the permission.

The houses collect the points from different competitions and performances throughout the year and the highest scoring house wins. The Great Hall proudly displays the colors of the winning house for the following school year, symbolizing both the pride of the house and the entire school.
