What about Chill Breeze AC? Does it work as per its claim?

We don't think Chill Breeze Air Conditioner will work as per the claims provided on its advertisement because it looks like a miniature humidifier. From the pictures of this Portable AC, we can see it's a wet sponge with the fan blowing on it. So, we don't think it can make your room cool like AC.

These kinds of devices can make your room cool only if your room is very small or if you stay near to this so-called AC, but still it won't make cool enough like AC. Even it is not user-friendly device since you need to keep on putting water to wet the sponge from time to time.

It may do more worse by making you more uncomfortable in the heat by raising the humidity. We always feel hot and humid is worse than hot, what about you? So, it looks like its claims are fake.

There are/were lots of similar types of devices with lots of complaints from users such as ChillWell, GogoAirCooler, WillistonForce, HurricaneFreeze, ArctosPotableAC, ArcticAC, TundraBreezeAC, GetBlastAuxiliary, Blaux and so on. So, it’s better to stay away from the new online stores or at least do some research before you purchase something from the new online stores because most of these new online stores don’t deliver the purchased items to their clients or, deliver completely different or very low-quality items. 1. Chill Breeze is no better than a small personal fan - it gets no cooler than the water used to soak the filter! No stars, do not buy this product!

  2. nothing but a peice of junk thas not worth &9.00 let alone &90.00
it doesn't even cool and it is impossible for it to get cold with just
air blowing through a peice of wet foam. you would be better off
filling a bowl with ice and putting it in front of a fan.

  3. I have to agree if you haven't tested it personally then you can't give a honest trust worthy opinion. Others might not have worked but it is possible for a new company to improve this product.

  4. Hi. I was foolish enough to buy one. No. It doesn't do much of anything but move wet air around. Even tried using ice cubes and super cold water. You can feel a little breeze but nothing that could lower even a degree of temperature in a very small area.

  5. I agree all a scam & a return policy for CHILL BREEZE and/or address to join litigation would be helpful.

  6. Those devices cant produce the BTUs to cool a room. Notice they never mention the BTUs of cooling produced?

  7. Making a device that is similar to this one is FUNDAMENTALLY impossible - it's one of the first things we learn in thrmodynamic engineering courses. In order to expel colder air than the temperature of the room it by definition MUST expel hot air. It is not possible to cool down a room AT ALL without the device itself being capable of storing heat (which a device of that size would be unbelievably incapable of doing.) In fact, any device which cools a room in REALITY will always be connected to the outside air in some way so that it can expel excess heat. This and all other "portable AC" devices are fundamentally a scam and their claim violates the known laws of thermodynamics. And some high school kid did not "figure out a way around the laws of thermodynamics" and disrupt the industry. These companies should be sued for everything they have. Any product which requires power and cannot expel energy to outside the room will in fact net heat the room. (Try leaving your fridge door open and it will heat up your room as well - the heat comes out the back of the fridge and right into your room.)

  8. So you never tested it? Maybe it works as advertised, maybe it doesn't but how can you claim to review something without testing?

    1. Because we have already tested similar products before. This is just a copy-paste of those previous products.

  9. As anyone knows, to cool a room you need to remove the heat, check the outlet side of your room AC or outside whole house condenser and you will feel a hot blast of air....that's YOUR heat leaving your house. These so called portable AC units have no exhaust, so no where for the exchange of your hot room for cool air. This is in fact a very crude evaporative cooler, that has minimal cooling effect. The claims to cool a 95F classroom to 65F in minutes is a joke in itself. Don't waste your money, get a nice fan instead, it will give you the same

  10. " We don’t think Chill Breeze Air Conditioner will work as per the claims provided"

Did any of you buy and actually test the device? I see opinion rather than fact and writing a "Scam or Genuine" page based on why you THINK Chillbreeze won't work rather than information based on factual usage and testing is deceptive.

  11. The chill Breeze is not what it is cracked up to be. It will not cool a whole room, and it is not as advertised....not worth the $90 it costs.... it should cost $20. Do not buy it you can get a better unit at Walmart. They make it sound like it's a state-of-the-art cooling system not even close. You literally have to put your face in it to feel any cool air but it is not that cold. And you have to constantly fill it with water. Do not buy

  12. It's a very small, battery powered swamp cooler. In Colorado, with generally dry conditions swamp coolers are very economical alternatives to AC; we have an Australian unit designed for a large window installation, with 24 inch fan, pump to saturate the large surface area of the wicking element air is drawn through. It can lower the small house temp two to four degrees in half an hour on high - but that sounds like a small plane landing. The physics of evaporative cooling are sound, but not magical, as this tiny gizmo purports to be. A couple hundred bucks on a window AC can make a room or two livable; this is a probable money waster.

  13. The Chillbreeze says it has a 30 day warranty to return the item for your money back guarantee. LIES! They did not give any way to contact them for a refund, no phone, no address. My machine is leaking all over my paperwork and doesn't even cool 2 feet away.
