Popular Cars in India That You Should Not Purchase

Maruti Suzuki Omni | De Reviews

Here we are going to provide you some list of cars which are popular in India but we don't recommend you to purchase. You may get surprised to know the name of some of these cars.

Maruti Suzuki Omni

Maruti Suzuki Omni | De Reviews

Maruti Suzuki Omni may win the most unsafe car award. Yes, Omni is not a safe car. Actually, it is mostly used for cargo purpose but also still we don't recommend it due to its unsafe body design and poor build-up quality.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R and Stingray

Maruti Suzuki WagonR | De ReviewsMaruti Suzuki Wagon-R also has lots of safety issues especially due to its tall and narrow width body design with low build-up quality. So, according to the safety concerns, we don't recommend you WagonR. Well, we also don't recommend Maruti Suzuki Stingray as well because it's almost the same as Wagon-R according to the safety of the car, low build quality, and unsafe body design.

Datsun Redi-Go

Datsun Redi Go | De ReviewsThe body build quality of Datsun is not so good but also if we consider the price tag of Redi-Go, then build-up quality maybe can justify but still, it is not good compared with its rival especially Hyundai products at the same price range. On top of that, Datsun Redi-Go offers 800 cc engine which will not produce enough power and you will feel very power lag while driving your car on hills with AC and 4 people.

Maruti Alto 800

Maruti Suzuki Alto | De ReviewsWe don't recommend Maruti Alto 800 due to the small engine power which is 800 cc. Body build-up quality of Maruti Alto 800 is also not up to the mark, Hyundai is better in the same price range but also still not bad either. But, the small engine won't give you enough power to drive efficiently. If you are a lover of Maruti products, then instead of Maruti 800, you can go for Maruti Alto K10 which at least has 1000 cc engine which is more fun to drive than Alto 800.

Renault Kwid

Renault Kwid | De ReviewsWhen we talk about power, Renaut Kwid 800 cc engine really lags a lot due to its heavy body design than its competitor but with the small power engine of 800 cc. So, if you want to purchase Renault Kwid by any means, then at least go for its 1000 cc model. However, 1000 cc model of Kwid also doesn't produce enough power but at least OK than 800 cc

Hyundai Eon

Hyundai Eon | De ReviewsHyundai Eon also has the same problem, power lag due to 800 cc. So, if you need to purchase Hyundai Eon, go for its 1000 cc model. Actually, it seems Hyundai is not too much interested in manufacturing Eon. It seems now it is more focusing towards Santro. The sales number of Eon are also declining day by day. So, in this situation, even there is a huge chance that Hyundai will stop manufacturing Eon. So, this is another reason not to purchase Eon.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki Swift | De ReviewsWe don't mean Maruti Suzuki Swift is completely messed but still, it is not good car according to the build-up quality as per its price range. You can find a more safe car from its rival in the same price range with better build quality such as Tata Tiago, Hyundai Santro, Ford Freestyle, Hyundai i20 and so on. However, if you love to purchase Swift only, then at least go with its variant with ABS option.

Hyundai i20 and Grand i10

Hyundai Grand i10 | De ReviewsWe don't mean these two cars are bad however, we don't suggest you purchase non-ABS variants of Hyundai i20 and Grand i10. Instead, only purchase ABS variants of these cars.

Nano

Tata Nano | De ReviewsActually, we don't think we have to say Nano is one of the most unsafe cars manufactured in India since almost everybody knows it. We think Tata Nano and Maruti Suzuki Omni are one of the most unsafe cars around the world.

These are few cars in this list. We don't mean these cars are completely bad, they also have lots of positive sides. However, we don't want you to compromise safety or power performance just for few bucks. So, whenever you are going to purchase some car, at least check the safety design and features, power performance and build-up quality of that car and compare that with other cars in the same price range, then definitely you can get a value for money car.

We don't deny that these cars have good sales and market demand in India. However, if we don't stop purchasing these cars, the company will never bother to make a safer car. If in the same price range we can get good build-up quality car with good performance and safety design and features then why go after the less safety and build-up quality car.

In other countries, the same car manufacturers are making a car considering the safety features but in India why car manufacturers are ignoring the safety features in the same cars? It's all because of the consumer demand. If we stop purchasing unsafe cars, companies will either modify or make new cars to meet consumer demand. So, we think we should start to think about safety rather than the mileage and cosmetic features of the car. Anyway, this is what we think, however, maybe you have a different opinion. So, if you want to say something related to this post, if you either agree or deny with our statement, then please let us know by using the comment section below. We will be more than happy to hear from you.
