Why did Yahoo Suspend Comment On Articles? Will Yahoo Enable The Comment Section Again?

You can't leave your comments on Yahoo articles anymore. Yahoo said that it has disabled the comment section below their articles because they don't feel comments are safe anymore. However, many people do not agree with this change. Lots of people are complaining around the internet that such changes on Yahoo block their free speech rights. However, it's their business so they have full rights either they want to keep or delete the comment section. But, this definitely can harm their business. People who are angry with this move, maybe they will stop visiting Yahoo.

Do you think Yahoo did good or bad by disabling the comment section?

Personally, we believe in free speech and we think everyone has the right to express their opinion on public affairs. If its writers are expressing their opinion about public matters, then why don't give people an opportunity to debate on that matter? But, in the same time, it's their business, so they have full right either they want to open comments or not. If you don't like this step taken by Yahoo, then you free to avoid it.

Do you think Yahoo will enable the comment section again?

After disabling the comment section, we think it will definitely lose some visitors. So, maybe they will consider reopening the comments again if they find out too much drop in their website traffic after disabling the comment section. Anyway, it is definitely taking a business risk by disabling the comment section.

We also don't know what kind of comments make them take such a big step which can even decrease the number of website visitors on their website. Yahoo has simply said that they disabled the comments for safety. So, why they feel comments are unsafe? What kind of comment can make them feel unsafe to take down the whole comment section?     What Yahoo has done is done daily in authoritarian countries. They have absolutely no right. They say they are creating a safe place to ad comments but it is all ruse. Who controls this site now. It is truly not true Americans. LEAVE YAHOO NOW>.

    it was a BAD move, and yahoo is lying. fct is i have been looking at the articles over the last several months and most are political anti trump pieces and of course yahoo which is liberal.democrat.socialist/communist cant have americans posting coments contrary to their beliefs and onpinions.

    in a nutshell, yahoo has disabled comments to control a narrative and to push their one sided agenda, if you like your rights and free speech america take a stand and vote trump 2020.

    at the end of the day people need to realize that democrats are the party of hate and division, it was democrats that started the kkk, it is democrats that keep our americans "of color" down with welfare and hand outs.

    folks racial injustice is only a thing today because the democrats keep pushing that agenda nad narrative to keep "people of color" voting democrat.

    now furthermore, yahoo isnt the only liberal biased entity blocking comments and removing articles they dont like google, youtube, and facebook are all also doing this. time for americans citizens to wake up to teh evil of the democratic, liberal, socialist, communist party.

    i especially like how they push the lie of white privledge to that i have to say if white privledge actually exsisted i should be a well off individual as i am a white male. but no i live on my VA disability, have no credit ( same as bad, poor) cant get loans, dont own my house, etc. while POC can get loans and benefits because of their skin color that i cant. yet NO democrat will admit this is the facts, and the terrorist organization that is BLM does nothing more than raise millions of dollars that do NOT go to help african american communities. NO it goes and lines teh pockets of white democrat politicians.

    Honestly, how is the suppression of conservative's first amendment rights by social media, while allowing liberals a voice, any different than what the media claims Trump and Russia "colluded" in 2016? Biden, liberals, & media are colluding to try and influence the election. If Trump wins, all protections at in place to protect both mainstream & social media need to be removed. Once they decided to stop being NEUTRAL, their protection is no longer warranted.

    It is very convenient that Yahoo disable the comments in the months leading to the election.
    They are trying to silent anyone that contradicts the lies their liberal media spills.
    They are afraid of the informed American that unmask their bias, lies, and questions their intentions.
    The American people are not as stupid as they want us to believe or they think and they are playing dictator with our freedom of speech.
    That is why we trust less and less the liberal media and all these silicone valley dictators.

    It is so blatantly obvious why Yahoo suspended these comments. They are trying to influence the results of the upcoming elections. No longer do they want to allow the First Amendment rights of any and all individuals to appear on their platform. They simply want to report whatever news they feel is appropriate and never allow a disceting viewpoint from anyone. That way, their flock can get the news, digest what and who they are reporting for and keep the flock focused on voting for the Democratic nominee. Period.
    The comment sections will be reopened for any and all to respond to, but not until the vote tally of the November 3rd election for POTUS.
