Beware Of Toyota Anniversary Celebration Free Gifts Scam

A new phishing scam is circulating online, falsely claiming that Toyota is celebrating its anniversary by giving away free gifts or even a Toyota Corolla in exchange for completing a short questionnaire. These messages are not legitimate and are designed to trick you into clicking suspicious links that can compromise your device or steal your personal information.

Example Messages from the Scam:

  • “Toyota Anniversary Celebration Free Gifts for everyone! [link removed for safety] Congratulations! Through the questionnaire, you will have a chance to get a Toyota Corolla.”
  • “Toyota anniversary celebration. Everyone can get free gifts! [link removed for safety]”
Beware of Toyota 100th Anniversary or Toyota 80th Anniversary Fake Questionnaire Scam

What’s Really Going On?

These scams are not affiliated with Toyota in any way. The questionnaires are created by cybercriminals to collect sensitive information such as your name, email address, phone number, or even financial details. Clicking on the links may redirect you to fake websites that look official but are set up solely to harvest your data or install malware on your device.

Sometimes, you may also be asked to download files or follow suspicious instructions—all of which can put your personal data at serious risk. In worst-case scenarios, your device could be infected with spyware or viruses, or your financial details may be stolen and misused.

How to Stay Safe?

  • Do not click on any suspicious links claiming to be from Toyota or other well-known brands.
  • Do not provide your personal or financial information on unknown websites.
  • Always verify promotions directly from the official website of the company in question. For Toyota, you can visit their official website or contact customer support.

What Do Scammers Gain?

Cybercriminals profit by selling your data or using it to carry out further frauds. If they gain access to your credit card details, they may even be able to steal money from your account. That’s why it’s crucial not to follow any instructions in these scam messages.
