We’ve labeled MakeZBright as a dubious online store because of these reasons:

  • Its company’s address is mentioned at the bottom of its website as 964 E. Badillo Street #2068 Covina, CA 91724. There is no business with the name MakeZBright that has been mentioned on or around this address on Google Maps. Instead, other businesses are mentioned over there.

    • On or around this address also, there is no business with the name MakeZBright or PENGUIN SECRET AGENCY PTE. LTD. that has been mentioned. Instead, other businesses are mentioned over there.
    • When we searched on Google, we find out there are multiple companies using this address, not only PENGUIN SECRET AGENCY PTE. LTD.
    • So, it may be a virtual address used by multiple companies just to register a company by renting an address from virtual address service providers. So, this can't be considered as a physical location of its company or store.
  • One more address you can find on its ABOUT US page which is 17D, Fuxin Garden, No. 1, Gangxia Village, Fuhua Road, Fuchu District, Shenzhen. However, Google Maps can't find the exact match of this address. Its contact phone number is not given on its website So, it is clear that this site is trying to fake the information, we shall not trust such a company for any kind of online shopping.
  • Lots of details provided on its website including its website theme match with multiple problematic sites.
  • It has a Return and Refund Policy which is found to be very unrealistic to be eligible for the return and exchange of items. So, it is almost impossible to get the full payment back from these kinds of websites due to their confusing provisions.

  2. Make Sure the Website is Safe:
    • Look for “https://” in the web address. Additionally, look for trust seals like Norton, McAfee and so on, because scam online stores either don’t provide trust seals or provide the fake ones.
    • So, click on trust seals to check if they’re real. Since, real ones take you to official pages, fake ones send you to random pages or are not clickable.
  3. Watch out for deals that seem too good: Scam online stores use super discount prices to trick you. So, compare prices with trusted stores to be sure.
  4. Before you buy, look at the refund rules: Be careful if the refund rules of the store like MakeZBright are confusing or too strict. So, check what the store says about refunds.

  6. Use Strong passwords: Use unique, hard-to-guess passwords for your payment accounts. Moreover, add two-factor authentication for extra safety.
  7. Watch for Phishing Attempts: Be cautious of emails from unknown senders with links. So, check the link before clicking it. Moreover, look at the website’s URL to make sure it’s not fake and related to the website name.

  1. I ordered 4 personalized mugs from Makezbright on July 6, 2023. They were delivered to me on July 13, 2023. They were exactly what I ordered and I love them! Can’t wait to give 3 of them to the people I ordered them for. I was looking for info on the company because I rarely order anything advertised on Facebook because they usually turn out to be very sketchy Chinese companies. These mugs were so cute I decided to risk it. All I can tell you is that my order from them was correct and I was pleasantly surprised to receive them so quickly. I am very happy with Makezbright!

  2. I should have come here first… I’ve been scammed as well. I have been waiting for an ornament since May, I reached out the end of June to cancel something nice this was a birthday gift and they did contact me to tell me they resent it… of course that’s a lie. I went back to my credit card to fight this, I cannot find the company and I’m not sure now how to go about this. I tried to reach out again, website down will not accept emails.

I ordered two mugs with my two sisters and me on the front… The mugs never came after two weeks.. I tried to contact the company to no avail! No one would return my inquiry. Then I saw a post on FB - they were answering everyone’s questions. So I posted something on their wall.
They eventually sent an inbox msg. I thought it was strange that they needed me to verify so much information when I had already gave them my order # - but I gave it to them anyway. Then I told them because they took a month to send the product, I had to also change my address. They said they could not and so my order would be on hold. I asked them to send it to the old address. I heard nothing for another week… They refused to give me a tracking number and the one I had originally was false. After waiting 2 months.. it came to the old address. Thankfully, I was able to go back to the management in that bldg and get it. Unfortunately, there was only one mug. I contacted the company again and told them the situation. They said they would send it soon. But, no indication of when. Again they said they could not send it to the new address. After waiting two more weeks, it came but it is a different size and style mug altogether. I would not recommend this company to anyone. This is a terrible way to do business and there is no way to get customer service to do anything about it. One final thing.. the company I bought from is MakeZBright but the company that delivered is called Penguins Secret Agency.. neither place will respond and something seems sketchy to me about these companies.

Don’t purchase from this company! Please! Wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. My purchase came today and is nothing like the items I requested.

    Horrible company.

I finally received my order after having to email them twice to get it.
The item is OK, but definitely not worth the money paid.
The customer service is some of the worst I have ever dealt with.
They also will only approve 3+ star reviews. I reviewed the product with a 2-star rating and my review never showed up. Also, other sites that track their reviews don't show lower ratings either.

  7. Don’t order from this company - they will take your money and never deliver the product

  8. Do NOT order from this company. The address is fake, the phone number doesn't work, and they don't answer emails. The ornament they sent me looked nothing like the picture (supposed to be a wooden Christmas ornament with a person and a cat) . The most notable difference was that the cat had extra dog ears attached; it was a four eared cat-dog. I finally was able to communicate, with delays and gaps in response, through FaceBook messaging, and did receive a refund. There's no way to leave a review on the MakeZ website, so all those happy reviews are completely fake.

  9. Same deal thought I was ordering from a North American company with 10 business day shipping, ordered 3 ornaments last week of November, theyt are still sitting in Shanghai....they offered to refund me 50%...not good enought., I was happy I had used paypal and Paypal refunded me...wont get taken again.,

I ordered 9 ornaments in November, they came and were perfect, so I ordered 9 more of a different type. Two characters were missing. I emailed to let them know and they got right back to me asking for a picture. I sent it. They got back and said the ornaments would be redone. Now no word. I just emailed them again.
But obviously they won't make it for Christmas.

Yup got my order and it was messed up.
They made the males grey or BALD on my 5 ornaments. I am furious

  12. I have sent several emails trying to get a new ornament that THEY messed up. The names were right but THEIR message was wrong !! No help from the company , no response...SOOOOOOO frustrating.

So disappointed. I ordered six ornaments 24 hours ago. It was my fault that I didn't notice that the shipping was free with a purchase over $50. Within minutes if ordering I sent a message to their customer service asking to combine and refund the $18 I paid. I received an email back this a.m. saying they couldn't do anything about it. I get that but with them taking so long to get back to me was the reason I can not even cancel at this point, which was what I'm asking for. I found them on Facebook and messaged on Messenger asking for help, they looked at it but didn't respond. I have sent emails today asking for help and for someone to escalate for me so I can get it cancelled and no response. I see tons of different sites offering the same things so please check them out.

  14. Total scam. Show one thing, send something resembling what you ordered in a MUCH cheaper version

This is a total scam company they steal your money

  16. They truly are a scam company. They've been posting cute Queen Elizabeth ornaments that appear to be a 3-D item but in reality it is a poorly printed paper copy on flat aluminum. They don't allow returns or refunds. I hope Facebook will remove them from being able to advertise. Would like to see FB or other platforms allow merchant rating scores to more easily warn people. There are so many reputable companies selling quality items on those platforms that they shouldn't all be lumped into bad products.

I ordered a few weeks ago and then started to wonder if it was legit because of the email name/address that appeared after the fact.
I also ordered with PayPal, as someone else had said.
Should I cancel now and get my money back or wait a few more weeks to see if my order arrives?

    1. Mac Bontia Avatar

I ordered mone Nov. 12 and now is November 29 no updates for delivery thru email like what they said. I guess it’s scam. Good thing i only ordered one piece coz i was thingking to order more for a gift to all my friends. What a shame!

  18. I ordered four ornaments from them last year. They were beautiful when they finally arrived. shipping took longer than what was stated in ad. I paid via paypal so I knew I could get my money back if they did not arrive by my desired time.

  19. Fortunately, I purchased my ornament through PayPal. I ordered three--two were delivered and were fine. However, I have been trying to get the third one for more than a month (ordered November 11th). I keep emailing and they keep answering with a runaround message. Today I finally emailed them for the last time and gave them until January 4th to process my refund through PayPal or I will contact PayPal myself and they will refund my money and they will deal with MakezBright. Never again!

  20. I ordered 4 customized Christmas ornaments. The order took approximately 3 weeks to arrive but the company had not given a delivery date so no problem. It shipped from Singapore? And after first week was able to track with number given. The ornaments were just as expected. So no problems for me. Just don’t order thinking it will be like ordering from Amazon.

  21. I ordered an ornament that was completely broken in several places when it arrived- the packaging was terrible.

Not so Kathy. I'm a real person who lives in California. I got the family ornaments and was satisfied. Came in a timely time frame and they were exactly like my picture was. However I'm trying to find a number to call.. one of my cups is broken. There is nothing on package says fragile. The post office is not gentle even when you tell them too. So I need a replacement cup. Can I please get some help.

  23. BUYER BEWARE. Makezbright is a scam company. I found out after the fact that this allegedly is coming from CHINA whereas they have a phony address in Los Angeles, CA. They sent me a phony tracking number from China and when I questioned them, I got a repeat that it had shipped, with a DIFFERENT tracking number! Do not buy from this company. They take your money and give fake tracking information. SCAM. Boycott them and buy local. I have also immediately disputed this charge with my cc company, who is wonderful

  24. Rick Kucher Avatar

I ordered 3 ornaments and received them in 3 weeks. They looked awesome and were exactly like I personalized them. I was concerned that I may have made a mistake in my order and contacted them. They returned my message in 2 hours and stayed in contact for the next 2 days until they were able to find out that I actually did order the right ones. I personally had a great experience with them and would gladly use them again. China or not. Most of anything you buy comes from China or parts of it are manufactured there, including vehicles.
On another note from Kathy's comment. No I am not a scammer and never will be. I have kept the messages that Makezbright sent me to help me. I do know the tracking app is false though. It showed my order was sitting in another place then ended up in England as I was holding it in my hand. Funny if you think about it.

  25. Funny how my original comment never posted. SO, I will post again. BUYER BEWARE. Makezbright is a scam company. I found out after the fact that this allegedly is coming from CHINA whereas they have a phony address in Los Angeles, CA. DO NOT buy from this company. They take your money and give fake tracking information. SCAM. Boycott

  26. Failed to honor their promise to send an ornament I had not received. They had very nice communication and were apologetic about their mistake, but after about 5 more of my contacts referring to the fact I had not yet received the ornament, I decided 6 weeks was long enough to wait with no more communication.

  27. Had I known this was coming from China, I'd have NEVER ordered from this company. They send phony tracking and do not respond to texts or email inquiries. This company "MAKEZBRIGHT" is a SCAM. Buyer beware. I have never had any issues with orders from the U.S. Unfortunately I have had several issues with orders/vendors from China.

  28. My cousin ordered an ornament for me and the packing slip indicated “Make Z Bright” and said thank you for your purchase. It was a very beautiful, personalized ornament. Completely satisfied!!
