What is Cootton.com?

It is an online shopping store selling different fashion items like tops, accessories, and so on. However, there are so many things you must know about this site before choosing it as your shopping destination.

Cootton is Classified as one of the doubtful sites due to the following drawbacks we found on its website:

Company Address:

It has mentioned on its Terms of Service that its Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong but the detailed address of the company has not been provided on its website. So its clear that this online store is trying to hide its information which makes it a suspicious website.

Copied Content:

Most images of the products are cropped in order to escape from copyright issues. Not only that but a lot of content other provided on the website and website theme matches with the other similar type of suspicious and problematic sites.

Discount and Sales offers:

It is providing discounts and sales on the price of lots of products it sells which seems unrealistic. Hence most of the scam sites do so to attract people to their website.

Returns and Exchange:

It has a Returns Policy that is found to be very unrealistic and bogus to be eligible for the return and exchange of items purchased. It further says that you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item that is non-refundable. So, it is almost impossible to get back a full refund amount from these kinds of sites due to their confusing provisions.

Customer Complaints and Delivery:

Sites similar to Cootton have very poor customer support, as well as delivery time as per the complaints received from the buyers of similar kinds of sites. v may send fake or very cheap quality products other than what it has propelled on its website.

These days multiple new online stores are claiming to sell various items on huge discount, but most of them are scams. So, it’s better to stay away from the new online stores or at least do some research before you purchase something from the new online stores because most of these new online stores don’t deliver the purchased items to their clients or, deliver completely different or very low-quality items. Some scam online stores even have charged the credit card of clients randomly without their consent. So, if you have ever purchased mistakenly from scam sites, we suggest you immediately contact your bank or credit card company to secure your credit card information.

Good Luck !

  1. I got scammed too. They will not refund. Waste of time and money chasing them.
Lesson learnt. No more online shopping for me. Shop local. Help Australians.

    Complete FRAUD!
I'm out $75. Really low quality merchandise. No customer service number. Impossible to return or get a refund. Buyer BEWARE!

  3. Fraud. I tried to return a $24 item that they shippped to me for $5.95. They told me to return it to China and that I had to pay for the shipping which was more than the garment was worth. Then they suggested I donate the item. When I complained they blocked my email address.

I got scammed by them. 76. Dollars. Fraud

  6. Cootton is a website that attracts people unsuspecting of how much lies they peddle. They put up clothes of very attractive color and announce that the materials are "cotton." On receiving our order of $84 from China, we realized that they are of polyester material and NOT cotton. Once you start the return process, you will realize that you have to ship to China. They offered $16 refund. When we returned the clothes and paid USPS $65 for the shipment cost, we realize why they were interested to pay $16 which is about the difference between the price and the postage. We involved the credit company to deal with this fraudulent company. We finally got our money back and took almost 2.5 months to resolve. Please stay away from these kinds of websites.

Cootton fraudulently advertised cotton sweatshirts, sent 100% polyester, thin and shiny, NOT sweatshirts! I immediately notified them, requested a shipping label for return and a full refund. Total $54. Got an automated response that they were on holiday thus not in the office. The day after their stated return I emailed a followup demand. Another automated out-of-office response, then another response telling me to take photos to verify, which I did and got another automated response. Altogether I have gotten over a dozen automated responses! They then offered me $7.19 as compensation and keep the shirts. I refused. More automated responses, then a subsequent offer of $14 to keep the shirts, I refused again. After some more automated responses they insist I pay for return shipping, they will inspect the items, and if I get a return it will be more than 30 days. I am not going to pay to ship the shirts back to China, wait 30 more days with no guarantee I will get a full refund, or any refund at all for that matter. Cootton deliberately takes your money for falsely advertised merchandise. They are unethical, dishonest, and will rip you off. If you have been cheated by such an outfit you CAN file a dispute with your bank, credit or debit card. Keep the documentation to support the issue and file the dispute!!! Better, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COOTTON.

A thank youfortbis disappointing reveal about Cootton. I was fooled by my greed, the email saId they had to close shop due to the economy and I was sympathetically suckered into buying, and even more than I needed because of getting free shipping. I've had as couple RIP off experiences already, and I'm. Ashamed that I've done it again, how dumb am i?

Brooke, you are not dumb, you are as trusting as I was. I too ordered a few items from these cheating creeps and I tried so many times to contact them. My items are faulty and I’m disappointed too that I’ve been caught out a few times. I ordered a pair of boots that claimed to be Australian and they are based in China. I never did receive the boots. It’s sad to think that we have to double check a company before we buy anything. Dishonest people, damn them!
