When we tried to find out the location through Google Maps, we observed that only the partial address is matched but Google Maps fails to locate the exact location of the provided address. Hence, the legit company always provides the precise registered company address but in the case of HotShopon, their company address seems to be faked. If any company is not providing the verified company address then we shall not trust such companies.
However, they have mentioned that their Terms of Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK in their “Terms & Conditions” section. Now what kind of contradictory statement is this from so-called genuine company because they have specified that their company's address as China. So, how can the Terms of Services of China-based company’s governed by the laws of the UK?
Another loophole we found in the HotShopon website is that they have two different Privacy Policy, Terms of Services and Refund Policy pages, which is basically a copy-paste error most of the scam companies do while making their website. For example, in another "Terms of Service", they have mentioned their Terms of Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of China. Well, do we have to explain more?
Payment Gateway:
If you click the payment gateway icon like PayPal, that is not clickable. Legit companies mostly provide clickable payment gateway icons and scam companies mostly use such icons only for the display in order to look genuine and trick the people.
Copied Images/contents:
